Superhero Series: AWE-thentic Sustainability! A Fireside Chat with Linda Selin and Jacqui McFarland
The Cambridge Dictionary describes sustainability as ‘the ability to continue at the same level for a period of time.’ Other definitions related to sustainability include ‘unceasing’, ‘imperishable’, and ‘renewable’. If there are two designers who have achieved sustainability in their 30+ year careers, it’s Linda Selin and Jacqui McFarland – who started their design careers prior to the dawn of computers, and remain unceasing, imperishable, and feeling completely renewed.
Linda and Jacqui have witnessed much along their respective journeys, and through many valuable lessons learned, have developed a certain wisdom and philosophy regarding the true meaning of a sustainable practice, in terms of both what and how they design.
Enjoy a fire-side chat with Linda and Jacqui in Stantec’s new Innovation Centre, where they will regale their tales, wisdom, and lessons learned about authentic sustainability.
