Geraldine Anderson named VP Marketing & Communications, Strategy & Strategic Alliances of CED

Geraldine Anderson was named the new Vice-President of Marketing & Communications, Strategy & Strategic Alliances for Calgary Economic Development.

In the newly created role, Anderson will lead teams in Marketing & Communications, Strategy and Strategic Alliances.

I look forward to contributing to the important work underway to make this city more economically resilient and make economic prosperity accessible to all,” said Anderson. “This is the city I’ve chosen to make home, and I am excited to help tell its evolving story.”

Over her 15-year career, Anderson has held a series of progressively more senior positions in communications and public policy advocacy in the private sector and government. Most recently, she was with the Government of Canada as Director, Communications for the Office of the Minister and Special Representative for the Prairies.

Anderson was Director, Policy & Communications for the Calgary Chamber from 2019 to 2021. Prior to the Chamber, she held senior roles in communications, government and stakeholder relations and public affairs with TD Bank Group, Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and Navigator Ltd.

Anderson earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Master of Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
