Join Dignity Forum’s Human Rights Conference to Address Racial Discrimination in Alberta

Alberta residents are invited to participate in the upcoming Human Rights Conference on Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hosted by Dignity Forum at Delta Calgary South, this conference will discuss the challenges faced by racialized communities in Alberta. Following a dramatic rise in discrimination and hate crimes over the past number of years, Diginity Forum was founded by former MLA and Senator of Canada, Ron Ghitter, as an action-oriented charity committed to education and empowerment to create a more inclusive Alberta. The public will be invited to participate in discussions led by panellists Ron Ghitter, Chairman of Dignity Forum, Graham Lowes and Sarah Adomako-Ansah with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Rahj Dhir from the Ontario Human Rights Commission, and Robert Philip, the former Chief of the Commission of Tribunal of Alberta Human Rights Commission. Participants from the UCP, NDP and Alberta Party will also be present to discuss their visions for the role of Alberta Humans Rights Commission and the necessary steps our province must take to fight growing impacts of racism.
