The Last Drop: An Innovation Sprint

Join us for a free, one day innovation sprint for youth aged 18-24. Participants will team up and solve a real industry challenge. Ready to put your ideas to the test? Join TalentED Greater Calgary and XPRIZE Canada Hub for a fast-paced innovation sprint where you'll team up with other youth aged 18-24 to tackle a real industry challenge, develop a solution, and pitch your idea to a panel of judges. The event is open to youth aged 18–24 who have a high school diploma, welcoming participants from all experience levels and backgrounds. The Last Drop: An Innovation Sprint will take place in two sessions on November 27. Choose the time that works best for you when registering: Session #1: Registration: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Session: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Session #2: Registration: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Session: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Both sessions will offer the same event experience, and participants can choose their desired session while registering for the event. All participants from both sessions are invited to a networking hour : 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. During your session, you’ll: - Collaborate in a team with other youth aged 18-24 - Explore a real environmental challenge from an interdisciplinary perspective - Brainstorm and develop a solution as a team - Pitch your solution to a panel of judges - Compete for prizes Additional Details: - Prizing will be awarded to teams based on a variety of categories, including best overall and most creative pitches. - Light refreshments will be provided. This session is made possible through the support of the Government of Alberta and RBC Foundation.
