Calgary Economic Development Ltd. (CED) invites qualified firms to submit a proposal for the Southern Alberta Aerospace & Defence Study. Research will include: (i) determination of ecosystem stakeholders, (ii) benchmarking specific subsectors to those of comparator regions, and (iii) developing a sector development strategy for Aerospace & Defence (A&D) in southern Alberta.
Through our experience positioning and pitching the A&D sector on the world stage, it is evident that Southern Alberta’s aerospace ecosystem and its unique advantages are poorly understood. These knowledge gaps have created inefficiencies as prospective opportunities require longer discovery periods. Calgary Economic Development endeavours to understand our region’s contribution to national A&D productivity, the forecasted growth of the sector nationally and internationally, the strengths and weakness of the sector in Southern Alberta, and the niche areas where our high-growth potential A&D subsectors can lead nationally and globally. We are seeking a partner with deep sector knowledge and excellent analytical abilities that can help elucidate the unique qualities of A&D in Alberta, identify our right-to-win subsectors, and make strategic recommendations on how CED and provincial partners can catalyze substantial growth.
