Flames, Stampeders, Roughnecks, Hitmen, Calvary FC … Calgary has a lot of successful teams and the latest addition to the stellar hometown lineup is, well, Team Calgary.
This week we relaunched our Action Calgary Corporate Partnership as Team Calgary at a partner-appreciation event held at Calgary’s Central Library.
The economic challenges Calgary is facing are significant and require a total team effort to resolve. The new name better reflects our belief that we are stronger and more effective together and that this city’s future is something we will create collectively.
At the event, we honoured our corporate partners who have exemplified their commitment to building the city’s future and shaping Calgary’s story by acting as visionaries, connectors, and supporters. Special recognition was given to our longstanding partners including Telus, Evans Hunt, RGO Office Products, the University of Calgary, Haworth, Heritage Business Interiors and Trico Homes. Each of these partners have supported driving growth and prosperity in Calgary over the past decade.
At a time when we are changing the narrative about our city with global, national and local audiences, Team Calgary members will continue to help shape the future of our community through their thought leadership and as ambassadors for Calgary.
Members of Team Calgary also benefit from business development and cross-marketing opportunities through Calgary Economic Development to engage the community and accelerate delivery of the economic strategy, Calgary in the New Economy.
