Calgary’s proximity to core farming land and location as an urban consumer hub make it well suited for alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage production facilities of any size.

There is a growing demand for ‘Made in Canada’ and locally brewed beverages. Wheat, barley, hops, potatoes and rye are grown locally and support the production of craft and premium beers and spirits. Alberta has experienced rapid growth in micro-brewing and local distilleries, thanks in part to the growing international recognition of the quality of Canadian spirits. Non-alcoholic beverages are produced locally from key Alberta feedstock including hemp, fruit, honey and dairy.
