Calgary continues to be the western head office capital of Canada - moreover, it is the head office capital of Canada on a per capita basis.

It has experienced a 60.3% growth in major head offices over the past five years (2002-2006) - 109 Calgary-based companies are on the FP500 database, 9 of which are among the top 50 in Canada.

Calgary had the highest concentration of head office employment in Canada (on a per capita basis) - head office employment increased by 24.8% between 2002 and 2006.
