When Filming Activities are Permitted
Hours for filming, move-ins, move-outs and related activities are:
- 7 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
- 9 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. on weekends
to prevent contravention of The City's Community Standards Bylaw, noise should be kept to a minimum after 10 p.m. Filming between 11:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. in residential areas will be allowed if the majority of residents approve. A Signature Survey Form must be completed and it is the applicant's responsibility to gather the signatures.
Filming activities in the non-residential area of the downtown core (Bow River to 12 Ave. and 6 St. East to 11 St. West), in industrial areas and on major transportation corridors are allowed 24 hours a day subject to the conditions outlined in The Use of Special Effects, Weapons, Explosives, Stunts, Loud Noises or Helicopters in the Guidelines for Filming.
