SAIT Polytechnic delivers relevant, skill-oriented education to 70,000 registrants each year. A polytechnic post-secondary institution is distinct from universities and colleges in that it offers a range of credentials, from apprenticeships to baccalaureate degrees. SAIT students further their passions through eight academic schools: Business, Construction, Energy, Health and Public Safety, Hospitality and Tourism, Information and Communications Technologies, Manufacturing and Automation, and Transportation. English language foundations, corporate training and academic upgrading are also offered along with applied research opportunities.

Established in 1916, SAIT has embarked on the largest expansion in its history: construction of a $400 million Trades and Technology Complex. When completed in 2012, the Complex will allow delivery of the highest quality hands-on training, primarily in the areas of energy, construction and manufacturing.  SAIT works closely with industry to ensure graduate success and program relevance. More than 1,000 partners serve on more than 65 program advisory committees and the class of 2010 has a 93 per cent employment rate.
